Here's what you can do

For over four months, performing artists have not been able to work due to the coronavirus. Online sales, live-streams, and lessons have become revenue streams but even that has been difficult for a consistent income. In addition to a pandemic circling the globe, racial injustice is more and more visible in America. The online music retailer Bandcamp is going to support artists and the NAACP.

This Friday, Stand with Bandcamp to Support Racial Justice, Equality, and Change.

The recent killings of George Floyd, Tony McDade, Sean Reed, Breonna Taylor, Ahmaud Arbery and the ongoing state-sanctioned violence against black people in the US and around the world are horrific tragedies. We stand with those rightfully demanding justice, equality, and change, and people of color everywhere who live with racism every single day, including many of our fellow employees and artists and fans in the Bandcamp community.

So this this coming Juneteenth (June 19, from midnight to midnight PDT) and every Juneteenth hereafter, for any purchase you make on Bandcamp, we will be donating 100% of our share of sales to the NAACP Legal Defense Fund, a national organization that has a long history of effectively enacting racial justice and change through litigation, advocacy, and public education. We’re also allocating an additional $30,000 per year to partner with organizations that fight for racial justice and create opportunities for people of color.

I have some recommendations for artists to support this Friday. The first link is for my album New Directions. The next few I'm featured on and the rest are artists I really like. Support music, support change.

In other news, I've updated my website. I cleaned some things up and updated the Gallery. It has a lot of photos that I have not previously posted. It was fun to put it together and give you a more in-depth look into my past.

I've finished the composition process of my album. I now have demos and sheet music that I've begun sharing with musicians. My original goal...and it still is my goal, is to perform the songs live before recording them. With everything that's going on, who knows but these songs will soon reach your ears.

Take care, stay healthy, make a difference in your community.
